Moisten a sponge in the solution and dab the carpet with the sponge. Dry acrylic paint stain removal is easy. Apply some glycerin on a dry paper towel and use it to blot the paint spill. Keep scrubbing until it begins to dissolve.

Avoid acrylic or oil based paints because these will leave your carpet feeling crunchy and clumpy. The paint will be lifted off the carpet and onto the towel. I work with acrylic paints on canvas all the time and if the spills on the carpet are fresh i can get them up with a wet cloth. Another option is to use a dishwashing soap and water solution to treat the paint stain.

Blot the affected area using a clean cloth to pick up all the dried paint lifted through scrapping. Absorb the paint with a sponge until gone and vacuum once dry. The needle nose pliers can also do the picking. Pat an absorbent towel on the area.

Allow the detergent to soak into the carpet for a few minutes then use a paint scraper or dull knife to remove the paint. Acrylic paint is water based so it isn t that hard to remove.
